FAQ : SUBSCRIPTION BOXES

How does the subscription box work? Your monthly subscription box is shipped on the 15th of each month - exceptions are holidays and weekends that fall on the 15th. You can skip or cancel any time by logging in to your account and managing your delivery schedule and preferences. Click here to log into your account:

What's in the box? Our candle subscription box feature two 8oz. glass jars with scents that are seasonably chosen and an adorable card from our friends at PaperLove Boutique in California. Cards will vary in assortment but will be seasonal and always super cute.
Will I know what scents are chosen for the month ahead of time? Connect with us on social media (Instagram and Facebook) or on the front page of our website to see which scents are chosen for the month. Announcements will be made on or around the first of the month.
How much is the candle subscription worth? The value of each subscription box worth more than $40. Flat rate for shipping is $5. The candle burn time is more than 100 hours!
How do I subscribe? Select a plan. You can try just one box for a one time purchase OR select a longer term (3, 6, 12 month plans available). If you pre-pay, you save up to 15%! Subscription boxes are not eligible for any other discounts. 
What is the cutoff time to order? To be safe, order by the 11th of the current month to receive the current month's box, fragrances are always subject to inventory availability. 
When do you ship boxes? Subscription boxes ship on or around the 15th each month. If it falls on a Saturday or holiday, we will ship after the 15th. If there is a delay we will let you know! 
How often am I charged? Your credit card is billed automatically on the 15th each month unless you skip or cancel before this date (US/Eastern Time Zone - we are in North Carolina). If you're on a prepaid subscription plan (3, 6, or 12 months), your credit card will be charged once at the start of the term. We do NOT auto-renew when your term expires.
Why can't I use PayPal to pay for my subscription? This is a bummer, but due to the app we use, we are not able to accept PayPal for subscription orders (hopefully that changes in the future!)
Can I send a candle subscription box as a gift? Absolutely! Just check the box. Gifts do not auto-renew and are prepaid. No refunds on gifts. 
What if my candles are broken when they arrive? Such a bummer but it happens sometimes! It's an easy fix, just let us know and we will send out two new ones! Just send us an email with a photo of the damage to charlottecandlecompany@gmail.com and we will send you another box! Don't try to touch the broken glass.
What if I don't like the scents? Skip or cancel anytime. Or give the candle you don't prefer as a gift. We promise to try hard so this doesn't happen!
May I request scents or recommend next months scents? Sure! Shoot us a message on social media or drop us an email! We love hearing from you!

Collaborate much with bloggers? Drop us a note and let us know your social media reach. You never know when a partnership could form! 

SHIPPING
When will my first Charlotte Candle Company subscription box ship?  Boxes ship on or around the 15th every month from North Carolina.
  • If you order before the cutoff date or before the boxes sell out you'll receive the current month's box. 
  • If you order after the cutoff date or after the boxes sell out you'll receive the next month's box on the 15th of the following month.
How much is shipping? Shipping is $5 flat rate. We did everything we could to get the rate as low as possible for you!

Do you offer international shipping? We do not currently offer international shipping, sorry.
My subscription box was lost in the mail or the post office destroyed my box. No worries. Just contact us right away. We promise we take so much pride in how we package them with care but things happen, please don't be angry with us, we will replace it.. Just (PLEASE) send us a photo. If it doesn't show up at all, you should receive your box within seven -10 business days of the ship date - let us track it and help us help you. It is important that you contact us within this time frame to report a lost box so we can help locate OR replace.   
Do you offer refunds?  We guarantee the quality and value of our products but have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are unhappy with your box please contact us right away and we will work something out. We're a small business and want you to have a great experience, we also value your hard earned money. If you're on a prepaid plan and cancel your subscription, you will continue to receive your monthly subscription boxes for the duration of the prepaid term. If you elect not to receive the balance of your shipments, let us know but we will ONLY refund the remainder of your unused balance (meaning the boxes you haven't received yet). 

Can I manage my own account? Totally. Log in to your account to manage your subscription on www.charlottecandlecompany.com using the link provided on the email you were sent. You can view upcoming deliveries, pause, skip, or cancel.   

My ordered was canceled. Cancellations could happen for a variety of reasons. For example - multiple failed attempts to collect payment. We will let you know why it happened via email.
